The Cuvee brand was originally launched in the European market to compete with the fuller body cigars of the Cubans that comprise 60% of sales in this market. Our goal was to create a cigar that competed head to head with Cuban Cohiba and Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey. We tied the Hoyo and Beat the Cohiba, Scoring a 90 in CA as well. European cigar journal ranked Cuvee in the top 10 cigars in Europe at the end of 2007 and we received a “brilliant” award in Europe as a result.
